Bob Havasy
Born and raised in Clifton, NJ. Bob graduated from Clifton High School and played baseball and football (Captain). Bob graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD. He earned 3 varsity letters in football and 3 varsity letters on three national championship lacrosse teams and All-American honors. Upon graduation from the USNA, he spent 5 years in the Navy with a 6 month tour in Vietnam and earned the rank of Lieutenant. Prior to starting his real estate firm, Bob spent years abroad, as the president of the international division of a public company based in Paris, France. He opened Blue & Gold Homes in 1995 with the idea of focusing on the Active – Adult segment of the Real Estate Market. To date, Bob has built and sold approximately $140,000,000 worth of real estate.
Grant Havasy
Grant was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised on Long Island in the Town of Melville. Grant is a graduate Half Hollow Hills High School East, and was a member of the varsity lacrosse team. After high school, Grant attended and graduated from Hofstra University with a Bachelors of Business Administration.
A third generation real estate developer, Grant began working on his father’s construction sites during his high school years as laborer, removing debris and cleaning the homes under construction. In 2001, at the age of 18, Grant became a Licensed Sales person with New York State and began work as a salesperson for Blue & Gold Homes.
Grant now helps manage the day to day operations of the company. In 2004, The Long Island Builders Institute (LIBI) awarded Grant the title of “Sales Associate of the Year” for his role in selling and managing approximately 48 million dollars of real estate at Sunken Pond Estates.
Currently, Grant sits on the Board of Directors for the Long Island Builders Institute, and has been elected as the LIBI Secretary for 2014. In addition, he was the past Chairman of the Long Island Builders Institutes Sales and Marketing Council. To date, Grant has managed the sales and construction of approximately $95,000,000 worth of Real Estate.
